02 k2500hd shock question

hi guys, i have a 2002 silverado crew cab shortbed 3/4 ton 4x4 HD. torsion bars are jacked up a bit so it sits level. it's got rancho shocks on it (i think 9000's). problem is the front end bounces quite a bit. it's not stiff, just every bump it goes down/up 2 or 3 times, not once like it should. it's driving me nuts. i assume i need shocks up front, but thought i would see what you guys thought first. and if shocks are the obvious answer, any recommendations for something that can handle the weight of the truck?

Re: 02 k2500hd shock question

I tightened up my torsion bars as well and had shock issues. The only shock that I could find that actually compensated for the torsion lift was the Bilstine 5100. They are awesome! They ride smooth and handle the suspension modifications like a champ, you won't regret picking up a set for the front of your truck.

I agree, I put bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Great shock, check Amazon for the best prices.

Yup, definitely agree with the others, use Bilstein. They build them specifically for this truck with this type of lift.

Another good option for price would be 4Wheel Parts.
