Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Thanks! Not sure of the back spacing. I bought them used boss 338's. Pretty sure they come in a standard size. 255/35/20 and 295/40/20

It is possible to run at this height with inner fenders, but you will rub on big bumps/dips

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
Any of you guys running a 4/6 drop have issues with hitting the stops? My shop is saying if I go over a 2/3 drop on my '70 c10 longbox I am going to have issues of hitting, and a 2/3 drop in my opinion does nothing for the stance. I don't want to notch the frame if I can avoid it. A whole lot of nice looking rides on here!!!

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
I had a 3.5/5 before going with air and would notice the rear would hit the cut down bump stops on a large bump, but nothing too bad (no notch). I'd imagine you'd be hitting the bump stops pretty regular with a 6" rear drop. But that will also depend on the company you buy the springs from. Some companies will advertise a drop based on out-of-the-box height while others will advertise their drop based on a settled suspension which can take months to get there. I don't know which companies drop is out-of-the-box vs. settled though, so good luck.
I wouldn't imagine a long bed would make much difference on the drop, but I doubt a 3" or even a 4" drop would be a problem with bump stops.

Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's
It also depends on spring rates. One company's 5" spring might have a lower spring rate to allow it to compress more than another company's 6" spring that has a higher spring rate when hitting bumps, or being loaded down.
That being said, my only experience with drop springs has been with Early Classic's 6" drop springs for the rear. I cut down my bump stops with no notch and never bottomed out unless it was loaded down and I was driving like an @ss. I did add 2" lowering blocks later with a CPP bolt-in notch and it was even better then.
