any BBCs in 55-59s with stock suspensions out there?

I am hoping someone has some pics or at least info out there.

My truck has been sitting with a 283 in it for about 12 years. Finally started workin on it again. A friend has stockpiled some 454s and offered me one for a good price. I have a transdapt trans crossmember already in for the trans, so I plan on using their BBC universal crossmember for the engine as well.
The rear end was swapped to a Ford 9" and detroit locker with 4.11s already.

My big question is header fitment. I've seen some negative reviews on the Sanderson ones that claim to be ok for the stock steering about not clearing even mini starters correctly. I have also read that never gen BBC headers for say 67+ work as well.

Also I am wondering about distributor sizing/fit as well.

Any pics or info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: any BBCs in 55-59s with stock suspensions out there?

Those trucks have more room between the frame rails than any other GM truck of any year or model so I don't see a real issue on header clearance and probably no need for hard to find special headers unless there is an issue clearing the end of the pin/bolt that goes through the back eye of the front spring as that is the only thing that might intrude.
If you leave the crossmember under the bellhousing that is where the header clearance issues would be.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
