Ford used to have a truck in the 60's that they called a unibody. I think it had a frame under it, but the bed and cab were together. That may be where he was getting the lingo from.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

That's true- I looked at a Ford Unibody pickup at the Ducktail show- cab and bed are one piece and it has a full frame under it. Woulda bought it if I had the space to put it.

That white one is massive! It would look sweet running around town though by a limo service.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I showed that pic to my wife and fellas I **** you not she went to the dr. today and got birth control. I just bought our suburban 2weeks before our 3rd little one was born. She's a month old now and doing great. Sure would be cool to see one of those super extended crews or suburbans up close. thanks for sharing.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

i did some digging and found some more pics. they seem to be made by Stageway, who was responsible for many of the 60's railroad crew cabs. I just know that Phillips Petroleum had 8 or 10 of these at a time and ran several times a day up and down US 75 to and from the Tulsa Airport. they ran them to 300K or so. i knew of a guy who bought one in the late 80s. i remember them being two tone blue. love to find one

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

They were built in Ft Smith, AR if I remember correctly. There was a thread about them a while back. Bigblock73 had some info on his website, but I can't find it now.
