Rear seat mounts question

I have what I think are the original rear seat mounts for my 73 Jimmy. One set is longer than the other. The seat was narrowed to fit inside the mini-tub and now I have to bolt it back into the bed. Since the brackets were removed at some point I'm trying to figure out where they attach. It looks like the longer set should go on the back of the seat but I'm not positive. It may go on the front in order to get some more rearward lean to the seat. Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks.

Re: Rear seat mounts question

I think the longer ones go on the front, to get the seat to lean back. It's been a while since I have paid attention to the fixed rear seat in a Blazer, though. I might still have the one out of my 77 in storage, don't remember right off hand.

Re: Rear seat mounts question

The front brackets are taller then the rears so the seat tilts rearward.

Re: Rear seat mounts question

I put the long ones up front. Seems to be right.

Thanks everyone.
