Vortec 350 Throttle Bracket Help

Hello, I'm running an Edelbrock 7116 performer rpm intake manifold and it doesn't seem like the stock throttle and transmission kickdown will bolt onto it - after some digging on the site it seems the Edelbrock bracket 8032 bracket is junk and incompatible? Any advice on the best bolt on strategy would be much appreciated.

Truck is a 72 K1500

Re: Vortec 350 Throttle Bracket Help

i went through this with my crate motor, since the vortec bolt pattern is different the stock bracket will not work as you found out.Since i am using a Holly carb I am using this one from Holley https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-20-95/overview/

However i do not have the kick down cable hooked up it dose not adjust to the correct length and manually down shift. I did buy this one
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tfs-20000/overview/ from trick flow but have not used it yet .
I have tried the cheap universal ones and modified the Edelbrock ones and all were pretty much crap

Good luck ,

Re: Vortec 350 Throttle Bracket Help

I'm running the same carb, though with the 2116 Edlebrock intake.

I got the "Spectre Performance 24283 Throttle Cable Bracket" off amazon and it's done the job. Feels a little flimsy, but I have had no issues with it.
