one ton D70 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I bought a rear end for my 71 C-30 a couple weeks ago on a trip to the junk yard out by my shop. The trip yielded me a short 72 frame[with rolling front] and a blue seat and also a rear end with 4 wheels and tires for my one ton. I just assumed it was a 14 bolt , but this morning dad pointed it out to me in the shop yard and asked if I knew it was there I hadn't seen it and I went to take a look and it is a D70. What years if any did GM if any use the D70 rear?
