hey bisquik65, I like the stance of your 87 sub....the one in the right hand picture....is that an 8" lift or what? I love that height moreso than I do my red sub's 12" lift height.

Well, I don't feel as dumb for doing it then! It was really weird, and a little scary at the same time. I was going down the hill to my shop, and at the bottom of the hill I need to turn right to get into the shop driveway. I knew there was ice, and I was creeping along, maybe 5 mph tops. I was in 4-low, first gear, simply for the engine braking so I didn't have to use the brakes. I started to turn, and the Burb instantly started sliding. I couldn't stop it, even by hitting the gas a little to straighten her out. I was more afraid that I'd wreck the Jeep than I was about the Burb. My mother in law isn't exactly the forgiving type.

In the end, no damage to the Jeep, except a smudge of my paint on the pushbar. She insisted I buff it out, and I insisted that she buy me a new 1/4 panel. We settled on just leaving things the way they were.

Its a 89 gmc sle burb, and it has a 6 inch ruff country lift on it..And the Hummer H2 wheels are 17 x 9 1/2 and 35/12.50/17's pro comps mud turrains
I put the 2 inch billet wheel spacers to get the offset H2 wheels out where they belong,Rides really great!! Will cruise 70+ on the interstate's.. And this is a 89 2wd body on the 80 3/4 4x4 frame the left pic dont look bad ,but 25 gallons of bondo works wonders for rust cover ups...(Before i got it) When the body tub went for scrap,it weighed 3,500 pounds and it was all plastic

Here are before and after pics of my '91. When I put the lift on it I put a set of 3/4 ton axles that I rebuilt from a '75. The front is a Dana 44 with 1ton spindles and the rear is a 14 bolt that I have put disc brakes on.

New member here. Mine's an '86 Silverado: 3/4 ton, 4x4, 6.2L diesel with all the goodies. All I've done to it are remove the running boards, new wheels and tires, roof racks, cd player and xm radio. My parents bought this truck new in '85 and my 5'2" mother drove it for 15 years before trading it for a Yukon. It now lives in Florida but still sports my fathers Illinois tag that's been on it since new. My wife calls it my purse because of all the crap I carry arround in it.

Having a hard time attaching the photos, any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks K. I love the diesel, not common for it's age and 16-18 mpg. No speed-demon but it's a towing machine.
Getting ready for a Keys fishing trip next weekend, I have a renued interest in her. Mandatory stuff like fuel filter, water pump and rad flush, transmission service, air filter, ac charge etc; and fun stuff like new speakers and interior rod racks hung from the ceiling.

Thanks,

The tire and wheels do cost a bundle, They are 20 inch wheels with 41 inch Iroc Radials.

Here is a pic with 44inch Boggers

And this is the other Suburban I have for sale trying to pay for all these tires and wheels.
