Add a leaf - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey guys I have added a set of add a leafs to the front of my 68 k10. It has the clamp that holds the leafs in line. Do I just bend them over or do I drill a hole and put a spacer and bolt like the original? And cut off the excess?

i would probably trim some of that off and smooth it up. no need for the bolt unless you want it. you could also bend them a little, but i would put a spacer in there to bend them over against so it doesnt pinch against the top of the spring.

I would drill through and bolt, same as how your truck was made. I would also trim and dress just because
