whinny sm465

Just got done doing an sm465 swap in my blazer. Started it up to move it and it whines like an empty power steering pump. I did not check anything yet. I was just curious on what possabilities it could be besides oil low?

Throw out bearing maybe? Does it whine all the time?

If it whined as it was idling in neutral or with the clutch pushed in, I would agree that its your throw-out bearing. If the whine only kicks in when you engage the tranny, then it could be inside the tranny. But I doubt its the tranny.
