Hole for cowl damper (A/C)

The body shop gave me some new cowl sheet metal and I need to drill the front hole for my A/C fresh air damper. Would someone be able to measure their A/C pickup's firewall and tell me where I should drill this hole? I only need to find the front hole (towards engine bay), not the rear hole (toward pass. compartment). See arrow in attached pic. Thanks in advance.

Re: Hole for cowl damper (A/C)

To be clear, the pic above is not mine, but shows the hole I need to drill. If you’re in your garage this weekend with a tape measure close at hand, I’d appreciate it!

Re: Hole for cowl damper (A/C)

I measured 1" from edge to center of the big hole in first pic.

Then 8.25" from edge to center in second pic.

Let me know if you need a different reference point.
