Question Anybody using shallow mount subs??

Need to replace the old speakers in my burb. I've been thinking about putting two 10" shallow mount subs and a amp under the back seat and 6.5s in each door along with the new 4x10s and 3.5s. I occasionally like using it as a truck and dont want a box in the back. Is anybody here using subs under the back seat?

Re: Anybody using shallow mount subs??

Don't have them in my blazer but I do have one in my GTO.. For what it is I like the sound. You can't beat the fact that I have a 12" sub in a ported box that is just around a cubic foot.. However don't go thinking that you are going to blow windows out. With shallows you'll get good tight bass but they really aren't meant for the really low earth moving bass.

Here is a pic of mine in my GTO (which by the way has hardly any trunk space so that is why we went with it this way).

I really hadn't planned on rattling my truck to pieces, I happen to like it the way it is so I think I'm going to keep everything where its at lol. I'm just looking to add a little depth to the audio system.

I like it.. With my GTO the stereo is built more for quality of sound than it is for quantity of bass.. I would definitly recommend the shallows.. I have the Fosgate P3 shallow as you can see..

Boss is not good stuff. If you don't wanna spend the 120$ on the Fosgate P3s then go with the fosgate R2s or a JBL shallow they are good stuff.
