Its like magic, it only took me 5 hours in real time. The beauty of cameras and the internet. Still got a little welding to do along the top edge. Pretty happy so far. No filler yet either, just metal work. Let me tell ya, i would not want to do this for a living.

Well i talked myself into changing my panhard bar setup. When the suspension is cycled in the rear it has about an 1.5" of movement. I do not like this at all. I talked to nate at porterbuilt and got him doing his thing to correct my mistake. My bar is only about 22" long. His will be much longer and correct my issue. I also want to push the rear axle back about an 1/2". I will machine a spacer at the trailing arm connection to correct this. I will also have to drill different mounting locations on my rear shocks to help with the length. Pics will be coming on this process.

The firewall is coming out ok. I warped it a little bit with the heat, its bondo time. Just kiddin, my body guy says he can tweek it out with a stud gun. I need to research the firewall to see what holes to keep and to fill. I am trying to do all the cut and fill work myself to keep the expense down at the body shop. He told me that spreading mud is cheap, its the welding and fab that will cost ya.

Made the spacers for the trailing arms today. Used some material I had laying around the shop. This should push my wheels back enough to center it back in the notch. Made them out of some 3/4" 6061. Got to get some longer bolts tomorrow for the mounts to the crossmember.

Talking to Nathan about this and I hope it works. What happens as you push the mounts out they are going to grow. It is going to widen the mounting distance of the trailing arms. I'll have to measure before and after to see if it is an acceptable amount. I think within a 1/2 combined will make it, will find out tomorrow.

good point, i didnt even think of that. ive seen a few members running a spacer like that though and dont remember them mentioning that the ubolts didnt line up afterwards...

Well guys it worked, I installed a 3/4 spacer and it worked out perfect. The arms slid back in just like factory. Now I gotta get the new panhard from Nathan.

Made a little progress on the panhard bar mounts and bar. It really is just to damn hot in Houston to work outside. Progress is slow due to the temps. I started with a Porterbuilt bar kit and chopped all to hell and started over. Turned out real nice after the third attempt:

Got the Track Bar issue solved and now have the rear how I want it. The differential has almost no side movement now when fully cycled. Nice piece from Nathan.

Now i need to address the front issue that I have. I hate the way the airbag is sitting. I am running stock spindles in the front now. I may have to run the drop spindles in the front to cure this problem. The only thing is that it will loose some lift with the drop spindle. I will have to install one of the dropped spindles and see how much lift it will loose.

yes sir. It gets old in a hurry, especially when all that rotten metal just disappears behind the welding hood. I have a couple more issues around the door jamb and window frame I have to weld up. I also plan on a complete new floor pan. One day at a time.
