1970 K10 Dana 44 drum brake front axle - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have removed my 1970 Dana 44 drum brake axle to swap out with a mid 80's disc brake axle. I'm looking to sell the front axle and want to get an idea of what its worth. I believe this to be the one-year-only axle with open knuckle design. From what I know, it appears that the hubs are the incorrect color. 1970 should be red dials and not blue dials. The lockouts are in pretty good shape though. Thanks for any help.

Those blue hub dials could have been original. What is your 1970 K10's build date? Early 1970 did have red, but was switched over prior to March, 1970. BTW, the open knuckle drum brake Dana 44 was also used in 1969 on Blazers only. 1969 K10's still used the closed knuckle Dana 44. So, this would be a two year run front axle.
