Opinions, Going to be selling my darn near original 87 V10, what tires look right ?

This would possibly be a Barrett Jackson sale coming up in April…

I have these on it now 31/10.50/15 which are the factory size tires.

Or these, same size but raised white letters

….I can make use of the black walls if I change tires

Thanks y’all !

Nice truck!
As long as the tires on it are in good shape, don't replace. Very possible the last few bidders would be in the camp of "not liking the tires" no matter what is on there.

Re: Opinions, Going to be selling my darn near original 87 V10, what tires look right

Thanks guys, tires that are on it are new, about 3000 miles on em. Only reason I thought about the white letters was that they were maybe period correct.

I went to great lengths to keep it original (because they are only original once) even spending a fortune to rechrome the factory front and rear bumpers, keeping factory door panels and carpet that are in excellent shape. Even every pollution item was replaced or reused, I can’t stand aftermarket products that are made in China.

Beautiful truck. Leave the blackwalls. Your buyer can swap them out if they want.

The White Lettering, this truck will be on the block for about a minute, it will be look a lot better with the white lettering with all that black. At this point you have thought about it, go for it.

This looks proper with your choice of tires.
Very nice pickup and best wishes with the sale.

Btw is the wood bed common for this year or only on the Stepsides?

Re: Opinions, Going to be selling my darn near original 87 V10, what tires look right

Awesome 87 stepside.

I am wrapping up my 1973 GMC Sierra shortbox and have this rough photo of it just before it went back to the paint shop for final paint last month.
I wanted the old school RWL effect as that's what we all did in the 1970's.
Was so excited to use all new stock height springs and suspension and found BF Goodrich 33x10.5-15 All Terrains fit right under the stock suspension and on my own new take off 15x8 rally wheels from a new truck I owned in 1985. The truck sets very nice with this combo.
Only thing I would add to your stepside is painted white CHEVROLET lettering on the stepside tailgate. lol

Love it! Gives it the factory new look instead of a repainted tailgate.
