What are you working on?
Share what you've done this week.... preferably automotive but not necessary.... pics would be great!
I removed all my leaf spring bushings and sleeves in prep for adding poly ones. Also started tear down of my axle in prep for a disc brake conversion. I'll try and post pics soon. RIZ |

Re: What are you working on?
Currently helping a friend reassemble his Harley tofix some oil leaks. Besides that, most spring yard work. I have a rear sway bar for my truck that has been patiently sitting for 8 months on the cart waiting for me to put it on. I just don't stop driving the 64 enuff to get it on jack stands to install it.

Re: What are you working on?
I'm working on my house lately so I won't be so torn between House/trucks. I feel everything I do with the house/property is a step toward working on the trucks. Too much of not enough happening because too much to do and it all needs done. Now I have a plan, which feels good. One thing I'll be doing is pouring a new slab for my '67 project, then an el cheapo steel carport. No more tarp to deter doing what little I often have enough time to do.
I did drop the 16 x 8 steelies for my '72 at the powder coat shop today, so I can be driving on fresh tires soon. Last fall at Hershey I picked up a printed circuit I plan to put in this weekend

Re: What are you working on?
Been trying to figure out my carburetor on the 70. I installed a crate engine a while back. Installed an edelbrock intake manifold and original quadrajet. Having issues with the divorced choke. The original choke rod/linkage is too long, so I cut and bent a coat hanger to make the connection. Length seems right but, choke isn't closing when it's cold out. Working on trouble shooting that.

Dropped the Burb off for alignment yesterday. Trying to get a few paying jobs off of the board so I can finally get the slab poured in my shop.

I'm changing every piece of glass in my 55. This is with the old glass. It looks good in these pics, but it has enough flaws to bug me.

Re: What are you working on?
Lemme see.... Broke the bed down for the 67 SWB I'm finishing, got the new bedsides ordered, parts dropped off at the blasters, hopefully metalwork and epoxy tonight. Got the mother in law's microwave picked up to install later this week. Got the Kid's S10 up and running after a bout with a bad battery terminal. Making progress on the big conveyor project at work.

Working on my man cav.... er,ah, I mean family room in the basement...... I'm going out this afternoon and see if the frost is out of the ground enough for me to dig post holes for the lean-to I'm going to build on the East side of my shop. 20' wide 40' long. I have to make sure I have all the lumber I need too. I'm also cleaning up a few gauge clusters I had stashed. LockDoc

Re: What are you working on?
Working on installing a new clutch in the 68 dump. Put one in and it had an interference with the fingers on the pressure plate. So got word the new one came in today but between the time I was waiting for the new clutch I am working on my summer cruiser. A 56 Packard clipper. Working on a conventional power brake conversion to get rid of the flawed treadle vac system. A bit of a Frankenstein but coming together pretty good.

Re: What are you working on?
paul the burb is looking great. its come a long way. I got rid of a lot of stuff and am forced to sell most of my cars once I get them going. finances are tight. but the Packard is a keeper. I will sleep in it if I have too. lol. and with the mild winter I only had 1 snow blower come by me for a work over. it ended up being mine that needed all the attention. new belts and friction wheels on both of mine.

Re: What are you working on?
we installed these bushings in my youngest son's truck a few years ago, they are fine...won't deteriorate like the rubber ones...some guys don't like them because they say you need the more cushioning rubber ones,I dont know? personal choice?

Re: What are you working on?
I pulled my mini out from slumber. I've been saving chrome tubing from scrap too build a exhaust for it.
I'm not modifying anything that can't be easily undone so I made it a "slip" on two bolts and three clamps and I could screw the oe muffler back on it. I took it all off and have it in a tote full of water to rust up the chrome a little too match the rest of the look but it's frozen in a solid block of ice now Pulled and cleaned up the converter pullies too. Now I'm back on sound deadening in the car.

Re: What are you working on?
Not much truck related over the weekend put new HIDs in my DD just to have issues with one of them flickering. Emailed the company they are going to send me a replacement bulb I believe. I had my kiddo for most of the weekend so got some good quality time in with her at the house and took her to the park today to play while the sun was out

Re: What are you working on?
Yesterday I used stuff from pic 1 to make what's in pic 2. Then today I fought the 20mph winds with my Savage Axis 223 to make pic 3. I have settled on a powder and charge, this was playing with seating depth. I'm liking group 3 the best. Wind was from the 10:00 position and not stable. It will have to do for coyote season.
