Chime in if you did a body lift

Wondering who has done a body lift?

What did you do with the spare?

Re: Chime in if you did a body lift

I have not done one, but all the folks I know who have done a lift don't carry a spare. I guess they figure those big @$s tires don't go flat.

Re: Chime in if you did a body lift

I have a 3" body lift. This allowed me to have a low hump trans cover. I have a 35 gallon tank under the bed so I put my spare in the bed on a spare bracket with a big wingnut holding it. Not the prettiest but it's out of the way for the most part. It sticks up a few inches past the bed rail. I carry a floor jack in my bed tool box that I have helped more stranded motorists with than using for my truck.

Re: Chime in if you did a body lift

I had a Z71 about 12 years ago with a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift. I removed the spare underneath because a 35" tire wouldn't fit.
