Take the time and buildup a nice bed something like this, it is well worth it.

68gmcdually's truck is one of my favorites of all time, a truck the way the factory should have made them!

My 72 C30 is a factory 133", so I found a longhorn bed for it.
To start out with, mine will look a lot like the picture below: cab/chassis width rear end, widened wheel tubs inside the bed, and no external flares (maybe some small rubber lips?).
The 402/TH400/Doug Nash overdrive and a 4.10 HO72 with locker should make for a stout tow rig.

Andy! just when I finished reading the 1st post I started thinking about that very same truck you posted a pic of!!!

BTW, not only they don't match up at all on the top of the bed, the fenderwell in the bed looks like crap when mixed with classic iron, JMHO


both chevy and ford make a short bed dually from the factory
