So if you were to do some tire shredding doughnuts, the rear end wouldn't be in danger of flying off? l.o.l. I've heard allot of guys talking about "how inferior the 2 link is." I like to try one, because it looks like it would be the easiest, least expensive set up.

RedRat has a two link on his truck also. Now he did add a few link bars to his to try to eliminate the possibility of anything like this happening. He's got a pretty rowdy big block in it. He doesn't have a lot of miles on it since rebuild but no issue on his either. Yes, 2 links get bashed quite often but the ride quality, simplicity, & clean look of Ekstensives kit has me going back to them again & I see a lot of their stuff out there. |

Just curious how you have 3 switches controlling 4 air bags?
Did you "tee" two together? BTW,... sweet switch box. Very clean!

Yes. I have the front two bags & two rear bags teed together. Everything bagged I've ever had just had front & rear controls on it instead of 4 independent bags. So that's what I went with on here too. The 3rd switch is a compressor cut off switch just in case I want to turn it off even though I'm running a pressure switch. |

I got the truck aligned at ride height yesterday & checked the clearance on a few things while it was on the lift.
It had about a 40 mile shake down drive. The truck had no issues & rides great. My ride height is just a hair lower in the front then it was with the static drop in front & and about the same in the rear. It never rubbed or bottomed out a bit on the way home & had it up to about 65-70 mph. Now to finish up just a few small things & get her all cleaned back up. Roughly the ride height in this pic... |

JWall, truck is looking awesome! Glad I finally got caught up on this thread. Quick question on your AC setup after you went to the serpentine belt:
- What AC condenser are you using, and how did you mount it? - Are you using AC lines off of an OEM setup, or were they custom made? - Did you switch over to R134a, or are you still running R12? Thanks man! |
