Buddy Buckets?

Going to look at a parts truck this morning and wondered if anyone could tell from this pic if these were buddy buckets?

Thanks!

Did the glove box SPID list it?

Re: Buddy Buckets?

Well they were true buddy buckets and in great condition...and still there but already sold for a princely sum by the time I got there.

There was no SPID in the glove box.

Re: Buddy Buckets?

Was the whole truck for sale or just parts off of it?

Re: Buddy Buckets?

How much did they go for? It's looking like $1200-$1500 on eBay lately but I've got lucky the past few months and finally picked up a set for reasonable for my 68

Re: Buddy Buckets?

He sold the seat with a few other items but the seat itself was close to $2K. It was very, very nice condition and he had a couple of guys with more money than sense fighting over it.

Re: Buddy Buckets?

I bet the prices start to come down on these now with the aftermarket frames available from Mike Losh. $2k is insane IMO.

X2 but by the time you buy his frame, aftermarket foam and upholstery. It will cross $2 grand easily. 6 of one...half dozen of the other....lol

True, but most times the over priced original frames need work and will add to the cost too.

Re: Buddy Buckets?

I guess this may sound like a silly question, but if the SPID doesnt call for buddy buckets, then what is the attraction? The only set I have ever sat it was not nearly as comfortable as a stock bench seat. I just cant see 2 grand in a seat unless you need them for a correct restoration. I have seen several sets on CL for 650 -1000 and they all needed tlc. Good luck in your quest to find some.
