Comes up a lot, but that's ok. I have an old Kayline on my truck. It was on the truck when i bought it. I have yet to put the hard top on - of course, my rear hatch is trashed but I bought a another one and it should be here any day.

Some of the snaps on my top are broken and the velcro on the bars around the front doors comes off when the sun heats up the adhesive. But overall, I like the top. It is easy to put up/down and I can roll up the sides to get fresh air but keep my balding head covered so I don't get burnt.

Bouncytruck- Did you buy a used hatch, or the new repro ones you have talked about from Mothertruckers? Sorry to interrupt the thread...just wondering.

Thanks Bouncytruck been kickng around the idea of getting one since the hard top was trash. prices don't seem to be all that bad.
would be nice to drive it and not worry about getting caught in the rain.

I bought a used one for $50. I haven't seen it yet but it is suppost to be in good shape with only a few minor problems. I haven't heard of anyone getting the new hatch yet.

As far as soft tops go, most people say they aren't much louder than the hard tops and usually have about the same amount of leaks. Some tops flap at highway speeds which can get annoying. I have heard a few people complain about the bestops and a few people complain about specialtytopco's instructions.

I have a Bestop. It's ok. I just slap it up when it's gonna rain. I leave it off the rest of the time. Never too cold in FLorida.

It hasn't gotton any colder than the 40's here. I am south of Tampa. If it did get that cold, I would just wear my big coat.

If your a member of ColoradoK5 you can get a discount on the top at http://offcamber4x4.com/ www.offroaddesign.com offers a simular deal.

I am still happy with the top. Only problems I have had is water wicks through the stitching at the corner where the windshild header, door and top meet. Drips on the floor. Some tent seam sealer took care of that.

Other problem I had is my fault. I poped the stiching on one of the zippers. Totaly my fault. I hooked the track before zipping it up. You have to zip the windows in first.

My truck is pretty well waterproff inside excpt the actual seat. I leave that thing is Safari most of the summer and leave the windows home. If your moving nobody gets wet. It's stopping in the sideways rain that back seat passengers might get wet.

I have heard that on the 69-72 K5's that the top doesn't seal all that well at the corners of the windsheild. I have also heard that no top seals very good there.

My top gets condensation on the inside during the winter. It forms drops that fall down if you brush against it or hit any kind of bump on the road.

My top seals ok at the corners, it is really around the windows that is a problem. To roll up the passenger side window all the way, I have to open the door first.

Same here. The top seals as well as the hard top,but the windows can't be rolled up with the doors closed. They can be rolled down.

I've got a Kayline on my 78 Ramcharger and it works great. When I lived up in WA I never took it off. Now that I'm in AZ I swap to the hard top in the summer. Too hot to go topless.

Im selling this top for 300 and I will be In murfreessbero TN next week if you think you may want it let me know. it is a best top it has been on the truck for a year I am putting in a new roll cage and Im having a top made to work with the new cage so I dont need it. Its in good shape no tares the only bad spot is the rear window started to seperate so it will need to be saw back in but other then that its in good shape I never put the door braces in it they are still taped together the way they came I had the side rolled up all summer.
