Nice!!!! I'm anxious to see that paint job. Yeah mine's bent in pretty bad if you check in my thread one of my most recent ones you can see it's bent pretty good, I'm trying to track down another fender just to cut the piece off that I need and then weld it, no need to replace it, if the rest in good condition.

Yeah I saw this guy on CL selling the whole front clip of his truck our generation, for I think $400 and it was primer black. Really tempted to buy it, I'm like you though I need a new hood.

Just read through your thread, thought I'd class it up a bit with some Oklahoma.

Helluva buy, nice job! Looking forward to see your build pics. I like your paint scheme idea. If you're getting rid of your rallies shoot me a PM.

Haha, I guess I'll let you do the SW4's then...lol. I found the SW5's on the internet but they are a little above my price range. Like 3 grand without tires for 20"

I haven't read into it yet but I will do that as soon as I get home from work today!

Thanks man, I hadn't decided if I want to keep them yet or not. I thought about keeping 2 and then purchase 2 - 10" and have them powder coated for spares. Not sure yet but I will keep you in mind. Welcome to the thread.

Yeah talk about having eye candy! 12k with 3 trucks different style rims quite the conversation maker.

I love custom stuff, but I can't justify 3k on rims. I'm not trying to offend anyone with that statement. As a friend of mine and we always say to each there own.

That would be cool if I could ever be home from work while anything actually happens

They are a little pricey but I can't find anything with the backspacing I want in a cast wheel. I'm going to do all my suspension and brakes first so I want see new wheels for a while. I'm assuming since you're offline that you are out in the garage installing all the DJM stuff

I don't really want to spend that much either but I refuse to run spacers so I may be stuck so I can get the backspace I want

Re: Project Platinum C10

Well I got the lowering kit installed. Took me a lot longer than I expected having to watch my 2 sons as my wife was out of town. Took me approx. 13 - 14 hours total to do the total install, stop and feed the baby and take plenty of breaks in this Tx. heat....lol. I didn't have all the parts needed as they forgot to ship me some but I was able to use the factory parts in their place. Here are some pics I took along the way.

Re: Project Platinum C10

Oh and yes I did cut the bump stops off. They were a bit tricky as they were put on using rivets. Good thing my dad has a big compressor and a rivet buster.

Yeah I love the way it sits. I have been waiting to order the rims until after I have it painted but I am itching to buy them now that I lowered it. lol

I will admit the rims would compliment it really well, but I do love the look of the stock rallies.

So the only thing you replaced on the front was the lower control arm and the spring? It looks good. Do you know if the spring still needs to settle, maybe drop you a tiny bit more?

I will have to agree with you there buddy! I had 17's on my DD for the longest time and then when I went and threw 20's it just set it off and makes it look like they belong on the car
