67-68 clip swap

Hey guys I'm wanting to swap a 67-68 clip onto my 71 c10, so all I need is the hood, fenders, core support, grill and cowel panel? Also what's the going rate for this stuff? The setup I found has a small dent on the driver fender but the guy is only asking $325, good deal or nah?

Re: 67-68 clip swap

if there is no rot or rust holes I would say 325 is a real good price.....I was looking at a nice set of fenders and hood for 300 the other day.

Re: 67-68 clip swap

The cowl panel is the same. This is what you'll need:

• hood
• fenders
• core support
• Hood latch
• Grill support
• Front bumper brackets
• 67-70 bumper if you want the correct look of 67

And like oldschool18 has said, providing rust is not an issue, $325 is a good deal. A small dent is nothing too hard to fix. Any do-it-your-selfer can repair it with a little research, reading and trial practice on spare sheet metal.

Good luck!

Re: 67-68 clip swap

Guy doesn't have the bumper, I'd like to do a roll pan, would I still need the 67-68 brackets or could I use my 71 brackets?

Re: 67-68 clip swap

Sorry, but I don't know out of personal experience. I know the brackets are different, though. Chances are that your brackets will work, but the bumper may stick out a bit farther than the 67-70 would. Hopefully someone will chime in and say for sure.

Re: 67-68 clip swap

Any 67 68 parts you put on the less fortunate 69 to 72 trucks is well worth it LOL but really without rust that's a good deal ,,,
