72 GMC wiring harnesses help

I am doing a LS swap on my 72 and am going to run a stand alone harness for that, but I do not know who to go with for the ignition brakes cab lights blinkers front lights side lights ect. I wont have to buy the engine wiring harness im guessing then? Or should I run a universal harness? what would be easier?

Thumbs up Re: 72 GMC wiring harnesses help

If your going to use a stand alone your truck harness you have now will be what you use it has nothing to do with the LS swap.
The stand alone should come with a hot 12 volt to tie into the switch and a ground the rest is in the stand alone yours in the truck want be changed at all.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

So just buy a normal harness for my truck and wire the ls harness up to the hot key switch and be good to go? Who makes the best harnesses?

Yes this is correct. As far as best I can't say because I got mine with the motor and it's the only one I have used, It was part of the package.
You should post in the LSX swap section and someone can steer you to the right vendor.
