rear carpet and insulation ?

Looking for ideas on carpet or a fake bed floor and insulation without drilling a bunch of holes in the floor. I Have a 78 blazer 2 wheel lowered with a BB motor and trying to keep the noise out. Not much in the 78 blazer section. I would like to do the old station wagon carpet and chrome strips but thinking how I can do that with insulation carpet ,chrome strips and trying to keep it flat and look nice and again without drilling a bunch of holes. I don,t know if a sheet of plywood would hold up over top of the insulation with carpet on top and strips screwed into the plywood with the different changes in weather.I f someone could point me to some threads on this on this section of the forum or got some ideas. thanks

Re: rear carpet and insulation ?

Why not wrap the carpet around your plywood base? If it's cut to fit fairly tight, it should sit still pretty well.
