gm 10 bolt axles

Does anyone know if the gm 10 bolt front axle will fit in a later year dana 44, i thought they couldn't because the 10 bolts were slightly larger but everytime i search it brings up which front end is better instead of sizes and stuff

Re: gm 10 bolt axles

I know that a regular dana 44 and the 10 bolt are similiar in most features and strengths. Also made was a dana 44 heavy duty. I think with this model the parts from the spindles and everything out from that point are larger than what found on the 10 bolt.

You can swap a 10 bolt in place of a dana 44.

If anyone else has more details please clime in.

Look them up online and compare the part numbers from an auto parts place. If the part number is the same they will fit.
