66 K-10 back up light switch

Does anyone have a photo of the correct back up light switch for a 66 K-10 4 speed transmission. Is there someone that offers the correct back up switch for the 4 speed transmission. It appears I have everything but the switch. Thanks in advance.

here is a pic of backup light stuff, for 4 speed transmission. i dont know if C-10 is different then K-10.
i dont know of anyone who sells the switch, one post i read suggested trying to find a barrel switch with a push button from an electronic supplier.

Re: 66 K-10 back up light switch

Thanks for the info. Great stuff. Any chance I can bother you for the length of the switch. Like length overall, length of main body, and then the length of the moving up and down part of the switch. This will help me find the correct switch. It appears I have all the other items intact on the transmission. Thanks Again, I hope you and your family have a great holiday.

the button doesn't click, its spring loaded and extends when the lever isn't pressing it.
the button will press in as far as the threaded collar.

Re: 66 K-10 back up light switch

If you can find a top cover from a 1967 sm420 it has a factory built in reverse contact switch. Much better and very much so less problematic. All else being the same.

Can you post the part number on that top cover? Can't quite make it out in the pic...

Thanks!

Re: 66 K-10 back up light switch

There's a thread in these forums where a member found a newer switch that works.
I'll see if I can find it.
