Smile Transport Wheels

Question I have a chance to buy 4 GM 6 lug 22 inch transport wheels [really good deal] Do you think they will fit on my 64 c10 with 2 1/2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch drop springs on front and 5 inch drop springs on the rear. Thanks to everybody for their help.

Re: Transport Wheels

The short answer is yes. The question is are you willing to make them work? You have to address the smaller center bore on the transits and the 6 inches of backspacing they have. Both of these issues can be solved on the rear by using a 1" to 1.5" spacer. For the fronts, if you have the drop spindles and disk conversion, you don't have to worry about the center bore being smaller, and the 6" backspacing should work. You may have to do some tweaking to the wheel wells to get them to fit as well. I am running these wheels on my '68 but the considerations are essentially the same.
