^ Cool. I'd like for my spawn to spawn!

Finished scraping all the tint off the windows in the den of our rental house, per the recommendation of our realtor. She says the style now is "bright". They're going to be sorry, unless they bring in some trees to plant. That den got hotter than a pistol in hot weather, even with R-19 insulation. 120 square feet of glass. Lots of single-edge razor blades sacrificed their edges, and I burnt about 8 hours off my life with that task.

I have experience stripping film tint with razor blades. I later was told a hair dryer or heat gun works better for removing the film. Never tried it though.

 NOW, someone tells me! I did think about heat, but didn't want to chance breaking a window.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

A young couple from Minnesota ran a wheel off their fifth wheel camper. I helped get them get the spare on enough to get to a local KOA for the night.

They will need new lug studs before they leave town.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Today, I went back over to the rental house for more cleanup. Moved stuff around, putting it in the trash bin or the recycle bin, third trip. I discover that they left eggs in one of the trash bags! I was talking to my wife about how that trash has been piled there since September 30th, and it didn't stink. She told me that it was a good thing that I didn't break any of those eggs open when throwing them in the trash.

Question- they left 6 quarts of CVT oil behind. Is anyone interested in that? I personally want to just recycle it. Even if it's $20 a quart (made up number), it isn't worth using, compared to the cost of one of those transmissions. Dumping it at the local O'Reilly's strikes me as the best solution. Man, these people were pigs. Hopefully the carpet will clean up. At least there are no burn holes in it.

I'd be up for World of Outlaws at Williams Grove. Something to think about is often that coincides with the Carlisle shows. I have gone from the truck show in August. I know how it is when traveling distance. I'll be right where something is I've wanted to see and knowing this is a rare opportunity I will still tell myself I can always come back again . But any stop at all eats up major travel time. stop for gas and a rest room visit and it seems like an hour is lost

very true.i've been twice to Garlit's Museum of Drag Racing twice, closed both times, then last winter,we flew to Florida to visit the same folks we just drove to Ohio to see and the man is fighting cancer.leaving with a Toyoto pick up a friend here bought,a 56 Desoto Hemi motor and a pair of trailer axles for me,drove by the museum again, but no time to stop as we had to get home.never enough hours in the day.my wife said,go ahead and stop but she doesn't realize,i would need all day there and likely still not see it all.next time i'm wanting to got to Williamsgrove,i'll check and see if you're around,i'll come get you.take care.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

They have a pretty nice little motorsports museum near Williams Grove. It's right where the small fairgrounds (horse) track is where the auto racing got started before Williams Grove track was built, as the cars got faster.

Cleaning and painting at the rental house, now that the deadbeat renters are gone. Getting close to the finish line, with selling the place.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

a couple of weeks ago,i mentioned how my wife and i were leaving here on Oct 8th for a run to Medina,Ohio to visit dear old friends,Bob & Diane.Bob is struggling with pancreatic cancer and not doing well.they wanted to come here this year after covid finally calmed down a little but now that he's sick,he can't go anywhere,so we loaded up and went to see them, with their permission of course.i can't imagine being sick and having "company" but they wanted us to come and wild horses wouldn't have kept me away.we got there and found out that he had,in his collection of things, some old Canadian coins and had a key chain made for me with a 1913 penny and one for my wife with an 1885 penny.i polished mine up and hung my truck keys on it today.a special key tag for my special truck.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Removed two non-operational fluorescent light fixtures from our rental house, and did some general patching in prep for final paint touch-ups. Those lights...we don't need no stinking electrical code! I'm amazed that that place is still standing. My FiL did some crazy stuff. I go every day and do a little. One, because my feet hurt from the arthritis after a couple of hours of standing and walking around, and two, to make sure that the neighborhood sees people around and someone doesn't break in and try to squat the place.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Started a test fit of Hedman 3/4 length stainless headers #62010. Only had enough time to do one side so far.

Plenty of frame clearance, but a little tight by the TH350 trans. I'll trim some plastic from the dust cover and maybe hit the aluminum with a grinder.

Made in USA. Welds are beautiful.

That's so precious and meaningful. Not only given to you two by your good friend but made by him, and with coins from his collection.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Well my wallet is $400 lighter . 4 new E rated tires on my dump trailer most likely will dry rot before the tread is gone just like the ones I took off . I was looking at the Goodyear Endurance trailer tires that are made in America but I couldnt justify spending over $600 , if I used it all the time I wouldn't have thought twice about the extra 200.
