Got any pics of the engine mounts? Very cool build! What cab mounts did you use? A kit or make your own? Thanks!

I hope to be back on this build full force within the next month as soon as I finish this customer build and I will snap pics and update this thread. I have to tear this whole truck back down to weld everything solid. We custom built the motor mounts and cab mounts though. The kits just dont sit the cab down low enough on the chassis for the truck to lay running boards

Thanks for the info! I believe I'm going to build the mounts for the 54 I'm building for a friend also for the same reason. He wants a 4bt in his. I appreciate the quick response. Looking forward to seeing more pics and progress! Your burb looks killer!

Re: 48 Chevy Truck/ s10 chassis+ Cummins 4bt + a bunch of other parts

Finally back on my project truck. I picked up a set of wheels and tires and have been finishing working out my a/c and heater hoses. I got all of them made up and crimped. Now i'm ready to tear this truck down for welding and cleaning the chassis up and painting it.

I love my new wheels. I gotta get busy now and fly in working hard on this truck so I can try to have it driving by the end of the summer.

Great build, great look. From what I've seen, bet it will be driving before end of summer when you fly into it.

I really like what you have going on with this one. If I ever decide to lose the V8 from my build, the 4BT is going in. Thanks for posting up.

Thanks

8'' if you want 10'' on the rear you will have to build some small tubs to get clearance on the bed sides

I had a gm pulley machined to bolt in behind the fan that bolts on this motor. I built my brackets from there. I used a factory gm compressor bracket for that compressor modified to work. The evaporator is a small under dash unit bought off ebay for $100. I had the condensor laying at the shop. Fabbed some brackets for it and bolted it in front of the radiator. Bought a small 10'' electric fan and fan controller made by hayden from Oreilly. Bought all of my ac line and fittings at napa and they crimped them for me. That is where the bulk of the money was spent was on lines and fittings. I routed mine nice and neat. Didn't just want them running straight from a to b.

Re: 48 Chevy Truck/ s10 chassis+ Cummins 4bt + a bunch of other parts

This is AWESOME! I'm a cummins guy at heart and may just do this swap with my "50" I recently just bought. How does that 4bt fit in the S-dime frame? (May PM you with a bunch of questions!)
