Re: 1957 Chevy 3100 V8-265?

you could check online for wheel interchange for different oem chevy/gmc truck wheels. I think the chevy 1/2 ton wheels will interchange as long as they have the 6 lugs. the hole in the middle is the same I think. some toyotas also have the same 6 stud pattern but may have a bigger hole in the middle. I don't know what look you are going for but if you google it you will find the wheel width and offsets for different years. lots of stuff available in different classifieds with different wheel diameters from odd years. you can compare outside diameters on some of the tire sites so you will know what matches up with the stock size, that way you won't be under powered on take off or over revving at highway speeds. I think the original size is close to a 235/75r15. lots of newer chevy's have 16,17,18 or 20" wheels.

I have the original hood and side emblems, as you can see. Not too pitted, just faded.
That original V8 hood emblem is had to find. I sold one like it in good driver condition for $125.00 last year on Ebay (found it at a swap meet very dirty, but not pitted). Don't know if they are repopped.

Regarding wheels, any GM 6 lug wheel from 50s to mid 80s will fit. Differences are how the hub caps mount and starting around 73 the wheel profile changed to allow for front disc brake calipers. If you want period correct dog dish caps you will need to stick with period correct wheels. I used the 74 16" wheels on my truck with 69 dog dish caps and later model beauty rings. Most people will thing the caps are correct because they "look" older.

All of those trim parts are being re-popped now and available from most of the truck places. I got a new V8 hood emblem from BowTie Bits but my fender emblems are just a little too nice to replace right now. It's not hard to paint the red insert in the fender emblem.
