6-lug Steel wheels for Disc brake Conversion

Many members are looking for these.
Post them here, in this thread, if you find them posted for sale.
I sometimes see them listed on Craigslist also.

These will be 71-87 (and 88-91 blazer and burb) 4x4 stock steel wheels.

These are 15x6.5 wheels for you 6-lug drum brake guys that want steel wheels for your disc brake conversion.
(and will work fine for you drum brake guys also).
Or any of the 4x4 guys that want to run hubcap wheels.

These can also be found in the somewhat rare 15x8 version.
Easily identified by having 4 "nubs" where a dogdish hubcap would make contact.

Re: 6-lug Steel wheels for Disc brake Conversion

This would also be a good place to post up any of the rare 15x7 steel "rally" wheels.
Just like the popular 15x8 version,... only 1 inch narrower.
Perfect for the front of 2wd trucks.
Especially lowered 60-70 trucks.

Member STP67-72 has a set of these for sale right now.

I have a set of the rare 15x8 ones.

Though I don't have pics, I also have a pair of the 15x7 rally in 5 lug.

Re: 6-lug Steel wheels for Disc brake Conversion

My '66 had the original drum brake wheels that fit over an unknown drop spindle/disc conversion using a 5/16" spacer... Worth trying to save the hassle of finding and painting wheels.

Here's how they are hidden on Craigslist.
I bet $40 would buy all of these 15x6.5 6-lug "disc brake ready" steel wheels.

Great Info.

Anyone have a set,
I thought of only getting the two front wheels, but if I have a flat on the front I would not be able to put my stock drum spare wheel up front. I thought I might as well get all four wheels.
What do you guy that have done this do with this type of problem?
What is the real difference that make these work?
How will 60-72 stock caps fit the four nubs?

Please let me know, Thanks.

Re: 6-lug Steel wheels for Disc brake Conversion

A friend of mine is trying to get me to convert my '70 C/10 to 5 lug. Which would be a headache since I'd have to change out the rear axles.

I have the drums up front and want to lower it at the same time so if anyone has any leads on a pair spindles let me know.

Opps sorry, this thread is for wheels, not the conversion.

The 4-nub wheels will work fine with hubcaps that originally worked on the 3-nub wheels.
You should become a subscribing member and post a Want To Buy thread in the classifieds.

Re: 6-lug Steel wheels for Disc brake Conversion

Don't know if this question fits here but here goes. I am looking at some Tacoma alum. 15" rims. Guy says center bore is 4 1/8". My 64 is 31/2". Will that misfit cause vibration? He said they are 7" wide but don't know offset/backspace yet. Would these rims work for me? Thanks, roy
