Great work man. It looked sweet when you first got it, then again when it was yellow. However, now you have done a bunch of killer work to it. Keep us updated man. You have a bunch of us hooked now.

Re: 86 Chevy C10 Build

WOW! Good job! That is sick, and looks like it's only gonna be sicker. What was the original color? It kinda looks like my midnight blue '87. Do you have a paint color picked out for when it's done? Are you keeping the original a arms or going tubular? It's good to see another layd out c10 here in Alberta. Any idea when it will be on the road?

As said...Great job! Looks like it gonna be a very nice one. I too am curious about your plans for it. You have a build thread with some attention, keep it up!

The original color was like a dark metallic brown. For the color im going with is a darker pearl orange its sprayed with viper silver then cleared, then sprayed with a candy tangerine then cleared again. For the a arms im not really sure what to do there yet cause ive been thinking for the last few days and im thinkin im goin to build a tube chassis this winter now, i kinda dont know when to quit haha i guess a person just has to say enough is enough but im pretty sure that will be the end. I wanna drive it next summer and get the bugs out of it before it goes for paint so i want it done buy summer of 2011 if everything goes well.

For the rest of the truck im puttin suicide doors on it with 94-99 cadillac lights upside down in the box sides, stock front bumper and a phantom grille. For wheels im putting on 22s in the back with 305 rubber and up front 20s with 255 rubber.

Yea i checked threw all my pics and this is all i have of the bed frame, its just built out of 2x2x.100 square tubing, 1x2x.125 rec. tubing for the main frame and all i did to hold up the box sides is i made an angle iron frame 1.5x1.5x.125 and two pieces of 2x1 rec. tubing to hold it up on each side. I didnt think it needed much cause all the sheetmetal is holding everything up. Hope you can understand this. haha

Alot of people say my bed is going to way a ton but the boxsides are all skinned so its just all cosmetic from the outside. I know when i took out the stock floor it weighed alot so im guessing its still going to be lighter then the stock box as a whole.
