Nice looking truck,

I have no affiliation to the truck.

Interesting truck. I wonder if it was built or factory. I may be wrong, but as far as I know all OBS regular cab trucks that were built in 1989 were Cab and Chassis. This means they had a slightly longer wheelbase and a regular 8' Bed would too short for the wheelbase. I think the wheelbase was 4" longer.

X2 89 should be a cab and chassis

Is it possible to be a late '88 that was titled, maybe even sold as an '89 even though it truthfully is an '88?

I looked at that truck. It's been for sale for a while, factory non cab and chassis.

I don't know how it can be a factory '89, '88 yes. But, in '89 the only regular cab available was with cab & chassis. That chassis was last used in '88...that's it, done deal, over. That's a nice truck, but shame about the coating of black vomit in the bed.

Nice truck! Have you done anything with the 87' stepside you bought a few months back? I had my eyes open for a build thread on it!

I tucked that feller away in Maine. It's my transportation in the summer. I wimped out ah couple years ago and split Texas for Maine in the summer. 35 years working and playing in our summer heat finally kicked my arse.

Still a Texan most of the year !
