Having a hard time finding this part

I have looked around on different vendor sites and can not find this door glass rubber channel. Its 1/4" wide rubber and sits in the bottom of the door glass mount as well the inside of the metal frame on the sides and top of glass.
Maybe I overlooked something. What is this official name of this stuff?
Here is a picture of the old rubber channel
2nd picture is the door glass parts where rubber U channel seats

You do realize that frame is for 47-50 doors not a '51 right? That "rubber" is glass welting.

Re: Having a hard time finding this part

Its a little over an inch wide on the roll and you can buy some at any local glass shop.

This isn't some "rare and unobtainable item. Any full service auto glass shop should have it or here https://www.classicparts.com/1947-50...ctinfo/70-715/

I guess that I had better explain that after you have the glass set in the channels you take a razor blade or razor knife and trim the excess off.

Re: Having a hard time finding this part

Thanks everyone.
Yes I know they are not 51 doors I wanted to run single glass windows w/o vent window+ I am installing power windows.

"Glass welting."
Since i did not see it in any of the catalogs I figured it was some standard glass installers product. Just didn't know what to ask for?

On a side note: I lined the inside of the door with duramat. Huge difference in how the door sounds when closing. No more hollow drum sound!

Glass welting or glass tape. It's not adhesive and looks like a flat strip of innertube when you look at it. It might be well worth the money if you can find an old school glass shop that will install the glass in the frames for a reasonable price.
