Aftermarket bushings come w/the brackets. Prob won't find many left on dealership shelves but salvage yards usually have them.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

The two on the right look like conduit clamps? but yeah a wrecking yard should have them.

That picture is one of mine. The part number written on the cardboard is still a viable GM number. My dealership keeps them in stock. Just walk in and tell them how many you want.

Hey TX Firefighter! it is your picture from you how to install sway bar thread. good write up btw helps out alot.

i did get sway at junk yard but wasnt able to get two clamps. think i might just go back and get clamps at the yard cuz the closest dealer with them in stock is further than the yard.

thanks for the replies guys.

Or.... Use aftermarket poly units @ the frame rails & the factory clamps w/replacement (parts store/Moog) bushings @ the a-arms. Improve the performance/benefits of having the bar. Energy suspension makes the poly bushings w/brackets in various sizes for <$30.

How does that improve it? I read it somewhere else but I don't get how it works. Is it something you can't explain and just know it works?

OE rubber bushings have a lot of excess material which allows movement/flex from deflection. Poly bushings deflect much less. When used in the frame position they allow the sway bar to pivot up/down w/o deflecting. Think of it like a 35 series Z rated tire on a Vette to a 75 series tire on a van. Shorter, stiffer rubber offers better (more precise) control of what ever it contains. Using the OE brackets w/aftermarket (parts store) bushings @ the control arms offer better control vs factory rubber w/o the binding associated when using poly in this position.
