Corvette front suspension on 56

Has anybody used the C4 or C5 front suspension components on a 56 truck conversion? I think the geometry of the Corvette is good and the aluminum arms are nice. Convert to coil overs to get rid of the cross leaf spring. Are there any crossmember kits available to put this on a truck?

Check with our Forum Vendors for kits. Take a look in our Suspension Marketplace or the Vendors Marketplace for your needs.

That crossmember look interesting. Anyone with experience installing the Flatout Engr product?

Has anyone done a 56 - 59 with a stock Corvette front crossmember (K member?). Looking for some words of wisdom for any of you that put the Corvette IFS on your truck.

Cheers,

Re: Corvette front suspension on 56

I used the flatout engineering crossmember on the front of my 66, i was impressed with the workmanship. Lots of cutting and welding to make it fit as it is not a bolt in for the 60-66 models.

Re: Corvette front suspension on 56

I will be using the Porterbuilt C4 crossmember with shockwaves in my 66, not sure if he could do one for a 56, but I have heard nothing but good things about Nate's kit. Its bolt in minus the rack notch.
