can you put an 85 burb on an 80 1 ton truck frame?is the wheelbase the same or is there a difference?i know you'll probably have to fab up the body mounts but i didn't know if there was a wheelbase difference.any help would be appreciated.buckshot

to do lots of measuring and comparing. I havent heard of anyone doing this but I'm sure someone has. Wheel base is easy to measure. Compare!

Mudder67,thanks for the help.i appreciate it.also,what year frame did you say you used?i have a 60 model truck i thought about dropping on a 78 4x4 frame(if i can buy it cheap)

a 77 chassis that I had abused for several years. I switched the 67 body on this chassis back in 1986. The truck was used and abused regularly.

Ive heard that the longbed trucks and burbs are the same frame. But like Mudder said only way to be sure is to compare.

I think the wheel base is different on the burbs and pickups from 73 & up. also the rear parts of the frame is longer than the pickup. not possitive on the 73 and up burbs and trucks. You will just have to do some research. exhaust books list wheel base for each model of truck.
