What is a good source for the modern tie rod/ends for and AD? Also, is there an after market pitman arm and drag link? Or is that a "mod"? Thanks! I'm ready to order, and I need to know where from!

The drag link is the easy part.

The filling station shows the tierod with ends and that means some of the others will have it too. https://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...5Z5Z50000014x#

53 and 54 used a drag link with the "modern" ends on them That can be had through Rock auto https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...nter+link,7276 or pay twice that from a truck trinket vendor. You would have to have your pitman and steering arm taper reamed for the ends or replace them with the pieces off a 53/54.

I had a local 4x4 shop build mine. I needed the eyes in the spindle arms re tapered because the tie rod now mounts under the arms instead of above due to a dropped axle. they did a great job.

I am not thrilled with the tie rod, it's a bit "thin" for my liking but they have sold many and people all over are happy with it so I am going with it.

SOOOOO....if I get everything from a 1954 - including the pitman - it will all just bolt up?

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
