Picked my block up today (sbc 327) from the machine shop..hot tanked, bored .030, cam bearings are installed and all freeze plugs and other plugs installed as well..what is the process everyone uses for final block cleaning before paint and assembly?

If they did all that they should have it very clean...I'd wipe the outside down with wax and degreaser..then prime and paint
Don't paint your gasket surfaces...

I use (ether) AKA starting fluid.
If it is clean there will be no residue.
Or Carb cleaner will let you know if they
cleaned your block (Good).

I like brake parts cleaner for degreasing.
