1968 GMC P/S Center Link

Hello gang, with all of this down time I've been working on my '68 GMC 2500. It seems to be the time to address the play in the steering. I can tell you that I have read every thread on the P/S conversions for mid to late 60's on this site. I thought that I could find the magical needle in the haystack, a power steering center link. My truck came with Ram Assist, and I need a center link for P/S. I'm trying to get this project completed before the Gov of our great state tells us to go back to work. So, does anyone have one laying around that they would like to sell? Thank you in advance for your time and efforts

Re: 1968 GMC P/S Center Link

If your truck is a 2 Wheel Dr. and a half ton center link is the same as your three-quarter ton I do know where there is a parts truck here in Colorado that has the complete ram assist set up still on it. Of course it’s an old truck so I have no idea if that center link is in good condition. If it may work for you let me know and I can give you some contact information.

Thank you for your reply Steve. In all of my ramblings that I'd posted, I failed to mention.....I am striving to change from Ram Assist to an Integral P/S type. I found out that the only part of this type of the Ram Assist that I can keep is the pump, but I will prolly change it anyhow. My apologies for not being clearer when I am asking for help. I understand the Ram Assist and Integral P/S system have a different center link because of the control valve and how it connects to the pitman arm. Yes, it is a 2WD
