Ididit vs Flaming River

I bought a "Proudly made in China" steering collumn for my C10, not realising at the time what I was buying.

It did not last 3000miles. Steering wheel now goes in ALL directions.

I've been offered products from Ididit and Flaming River. Any reason to choose the one over the other ignoring price?

Re: Ididit vs Flaming River

I did the exact same thing not knowing the made in china column was junk.
Lesson learned. I replaced it with an ididit column that was perfect. I have no experience with flaming river.

Re: Ididit vs Flaming River

Both companies have excellent products and their columns have a good safety rating. I wouldn't hesitate to use either one, or an original GM.

Re: Ididit vs Flaming River

I installed an Ididit column that I bought from site sponsor MCB Matt (Matt's Classic Bowties) and it is an awesome column!

Pics of it are in my build thread in my signature line.

Re: Ididit vs Flaming River

I have heard great things about Ididit. I chose to go with a rebuilt factory tilt column myself!

Re: Ididit vs Flaming River

I have had an Ididit for over ten years with absolutely no problems.
