Angry Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

That front end is off a Mazda B-Series truck, based on the Ford Ranger.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda...edirected=true

Had to be a Ricer to do that to that.
Just aint right!
Putting import body parts on a Chevy!
They need prayer!
They need to have the truck taken away from them!
Put on this forum for auction!

What are we going to see next! Someone with a Honda V6 in their truck!
I gotta go sit down and drink some coffee....
Tearing me slap up!

1Bad, that's an unfair statement for the international guys who keep their rides rolling with whatever they can. I give them credit to pursue the hobby whichever way they can. Heck not everyone accepts the Side Rails on my truck and they belong there.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

Welcome to the forum. I imagine an American truck this old, and in such nice condition is pretty rare in your neighborhood, or is there a local club with lots of early iron? What are you planning for winter updates? Also what type engine/transmission are you running.

Thank you, here in Stockholm there are around 12 c10s 60-66 (that i know of) but i guess there's a couple more. Here in Sweden we are pretty big on the american car front, just here in our little neighborhood in the north of Stockholm we have a meet every thursday with around 40 cars and friday cruising in central Stockholm! Lots of fun! The plans for the winter is to bag it in the rear atleast and do some fixin of some dents and som minor things. The car was imported 2008 from Texas and have almost no rust at all and it's got a 350 engine with a 350 tranny.

Hagelin,

Are these Truck any different in apperance or mechanically other than the steering?
I know the climate is a little different in Europe. My dads 1969 AMC Rambler American was built in Canada and had extra undercoating under it.
I bet parts are hard to find there.

Thanks,

How do you mean different with the steering? No they aren't any different here. The climate is sure different here but hardly anyone uses the cars other then from spring to autumn and most people dont let their cars stand out in the rain. I have actually found a 64 parts car not far from here and a rustfree cab south in Sweden, but yeah your gonna' have to import some things now and then.

Ok. I didn't know if these trucks were made for the right hand drive.
So I guess these truck were just shipped there. Cool.
Didn't know the history about that. Were any of these trucks converted over?
I seen a fella on here with a right hand steering. Can't remember where he was from though.

Your truck is awesome, the original paint and its worn / aged look is perfect!

Looks like the hood and cowl had black primer, yet the roof and bed had red oxide?

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

yeah the front fenders are black primer as well not sure why that would be like that but my brothjer has a similar truck and his is also black primer as well on the front end only. This must have been the way they did things back then.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

Purchased a month ago. 327 with 4 on the floor. BTW its a 64' C20 longbed, so I picked up suspension parts from a 73 c10, including upper and lower control arms, 5 lug discs, spindles, proportion valve and master cylinder. I'm assuming I need the cross member also to make it all work. Now in need of a new rear end and get ride of this crazy 4.something gear ratio.

Cheers

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a fun truck. How do you like the under dash A/C. Does it work well, or interfere with your legs? Also, I do like it better without the giant steer horns on the roof!
