06 gto oil pan
Picked up an ls2 out of an gto. Anyone used the gto oil pan in an 67-72 or 64-66. I have both trucks.

Anyone using gto oil pan?
I know it's popular I got the car swaps. Just wondering if anyone has pics of one in an 60-66 or 67-72 c10.

i have an ls1 from a gto and i had to use an f-body oil pan. they are rear sump

Well that solves issue #1 now how far does it hang below crossmember? I've got a Scott's hot rods crossmember that makes the truck lay frame. I don't want to lay oil pan

mine is pretty close to even. the oil pan may be 1/2 inch or so above the crossmember. I have air bags as well but i dont lay frame

F body pans are pretty much level with the transmission pan, so you wont get one any shallower than that. You'll have to raise the whole engine if you are hitting the pan before the frame.

wasn't even thinking about the trans pan. Prob going to have to raise everything! I'm also waiting for a reply via email from Scotts Hot Rods. I feel this may be an issue no matter if it's an LS or just a simple sbc oil pan

I used an 07 Cadillac CTsV pan on two of my builds with factory front cross members. On my Porterbuilt chassis truck, I used a Fbody pan, I don' think anything else will work with it, but not 100% sure. With 6L80 you can also use the tranny pan from a CTsV (I can't remember the year, it's in my 68 S/C build thread). It will gain you about an 1" of clearance.
