69 C60 366 Water Pump Help

So I have a 69 C60 with the 366 and am looking to replace the water pump. Does anybody have any experience with the FlowKooler on this engine? It seems to be the only thing I can find online that I can be sure fits. Including link and picture of the original - part # 986828(8?) with F22 71 stamped above it.

Are there any cheaper replacements besides this, maybe an AC Delco? Or does anybody offer a rebuild kit?

Also, should I use their thermostat or try to find a cheaper alternative? I hope there's an AC Delco replacement as I'll be needing two...

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Re: 69 C60 366 Water Pump Help

Not sure about your Water Pump, but just to jaw-flap about some more on it, if the engine is actually a '69, the Pump is not original. The "F22 71" is the Date Code (June 22, 1971).

If no one jumps in, just keep calling around if you are not satisfied with the FlowKooler. Have you tried NAPA?

Cool truck! I checked the A-1 Cardone site, their part number for a rebuilt pump is 58-166. They list a new one as well, 55-11139. Oreilly's shows the rebuild is $49.99 with a one year warranty, if you Google the new part number it can be had for $60 to $70.

Re: 69 C60 366 Water Pump Help

Interesting fact about the date on that...I guess it could have been changed earlier (or sometime) in its life. I ordered one at a local part store for ~$80 that should be in tomorrow. They usually have to check the books (as opposed to the computer) when I come in for 366 parts. NAPA would have been my next store but I never know what vehicle to tell them as the 69 C60 w/ 366 isn't in their system, same with Advance and the like. Is there a specific vehicle that you guys use that is interchangeable with mine that y'all use at the parts store? Thanks for the comments and the help and part numbers guys! Much appreciated!
