VSS and Muncie 4 speed

My plan was to use the existing 4 speed in my Corvette and stock bell housing and mate to a new LS 3

How will I adapt a VSS to the computer, or will I need a VSS?

I understand I need a different pilot bearing to take up the distance with the Muncie trans and the LS 3 crankshaft and a truck (LS ) flywheel and clutch

Engine motor mounts will change also

Re: VSS and Muncie 4 speed

I recommend using a VSS, You can run into Stalling issues without one.

A E38 ECM with a Manual Trans tune will need a 17 Pulse Per Revolution (Of the Output Shaft).

These guys http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Spe...eedometer.html may have an Inline VSS pulse generator that will work.

Re: VSS and Muncie 4 speed

I think I have one of those on the shelf, I will check and see if it is the same as #3.
Will that one work for the ECU and "T" into the stock speedometer on the Muncie.

Thanks Clinebarger
