K1500 sbsc rear driveshaft length
I have a 96 c1500 with a standard cab Short box with a 305 and nv3500 with 250k on the dash.
Time to throw another drivetrain in the truck ( more power). The one I have planned should place the front of the driveshaft 47 inches back from the back of the block. Now I believe a nv3500 and transfer case equates to right around 47" long. I am moving the engine and have a few inches to play with. But, I really need to get confirmation on just how long that nv3500 and transfer case is in stock form. End game here is to use a factory rear driveshaft from a standard cab short bed k1500 so I do not need to shorten one. If I can get that driveshafts measurement that would help in finding one. I believe a 4l60e is close to the the same length as a nv3500 when they are mated to a stock transfer case. 47" long transmission and transfer case is the goal here. If I can get that length and use a stock form rear driveshaft everything I have planned will work perfect. If not then I will be looking at cutting down my c1500's driveshaft. Thank you for any help.
