Re: 1992 GMC Sierra K1500 Shortwide Z71 Conversion

A few more uh, updates.
Brake pedal and switch from a '94

'94-up e-brake pedal

Now this...is the fun. Carpet and 4x4 shifter from an '02 Dodge Ram. I will be integrating the Dodge floor into mine; I'll be using the Dodge carpet and shifter, along with the Dodge power seats.

And last....my new spring stack. From a '98 3/4-ton.

Well, not really very much to add.
Here's a complete tail light circuit board with all of my LED bulbs

Next on my list of things to do was add a 95-up hood release:

Aaaand LED's for my cab lights.

Also, got the bed off...again.

Re: 1992 GMC Sierra K1500 Shortwide Z71 Conversion

Haven't done much updating on here lately. My floor is currently cut out and I'm in the process of getting the floor from an '02 Ram in. On a side note...I cracked open my 14 bolt today. Just outta curiosity, and got a lovely look at that diff...I'm a happy camper

Re: 1992 GMC Sierra K1500 Shortwide Z71 Conversion

I've been busy. Truck's outback in the driveway, floor welded in, but I haven't touched it in a while. Cold weather decided to hit. I did however score me a new DD while the beast is under construction. '96 Silverado light duty 6-lug C2500 for $400. Bought with a bad 4L60-E, I put a 4L80-E out of a '99 in it. Runs like a champ.

Definitely. I was hoping to have the 4x4 done before the cold hit. But nothing goes how it should. Oh well. As long as I get it back on the road before it hits the two-year mark of being a project.

$25 Stepside off a '93? Oh hell yeah. I'll rock it.

Oh hey. I'm back. And after being broke and having absolutely zero time to get this truck ANYWHERE....it's time to make her roar again. Currently working on the engine. Plan is get the engine, trans, and t-case set back in the frame in the next say month or so. And go from there. This thing is still in pieces and has been on the back burner for too damn long!

Thanks Bill. I hate that I haven't posted so long and the beast still isn't done. But it's been work work work with no leftover money and zero time for this thing.

Freshly repainted 350...matte black block with Chevy orange valve covers and silver timing cover....still need to do my intake though.
This is the same one I half-ass rattle canned orange all those years ago.

It's been a good minute since I've posted any updates. Honestly considered just waiting til the beast was done. I'll be posting update pics later today.

Bought me a pair of Cherry Bomb Extreme mufflers...gonna run her true dual.

And last so far....the shoes. 15x10 Cragar Nomad IIs wrapped in brand new 35x12.50 Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires....meaty.

Thanks Bill! That's the plan....louder than it's ever been. I've got a buddy with a '98 Mustang GT that had a couple SLP Loudmouths with no cats....thing is loud as hell. I plan on it being around there. I'll be running 2 high-flow cats with my mufflers.

Re: 1992 GMC Sierra K1500 Shortwide Z71 Conversion

Well, not the prettiest set up...but it works for what I've got. Exhaust is done. Still need to run hangers though. She's 100% true dual....no y-pipe, no connections. Two pipes, two cats, two mufflers. I'm happy with it.

Also got some goodies. New 12.5" long u-bolts from Rough Country.

And has anyone redone their speed sensor buffer modules with DIP switches? It's a pain in the ass.
