Always Something!

Anyone ever have this happen?
Hooked up the battery after changing out my turn signal switch and the horn kept blowing, no matter what I tried.
Checked the wiring, found a short to ground in the harness going up into the column. Tore it all apart again, checking for rubbing/chafed wire. All good.
Finally found the culprit, the horn button attachment on the bottom of the switch was round and was touching the bearing housing. LMC switch, buy the way. A bit of filing and it's good to go.

Re: Always Something!

A crappy LMC product? Sounds normal to me.
I can’t believe they stay in business

^^^ They survive on the go big or stay on the porch model. I'm one small time nobody who would jump off the porch to give a big s,o,b what for! I hate when I hear peoplem say that. What suckers to think that's a good thing. It's one large thing that's wrong with this country. BTW, cardude, I'm glad you solved the problem. Now back to my rant... (musta touched a nerve)

Re: Always Something!

Not defending LMC, but most everything REPOP is made in China.
Nowadays it seems that we’re lucky to get parts that fit properly, without modifications
