Hey Keith, have you figured out what you're going to do for the fuel line connection at the fuel rail? I'm not sure what I want to do yet and I'm looking for ideas.

Duane, I haven't gotten that far yet with the fuel system. I still have to install the fuel rails and injectors on the motor and run the fuel lines from the tank Sorry I couldn't help more.

No worries Keith. I'm in about the same spot. Just trying to plan ahead for when I do get there.

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside

Got some work done on the exhaust yesterday. I ended up sending the Black Widow mufflers back because I couldn't get them to fit and work the way I wanted to! Just not enough room with the rear Dropmember for what I want to do with the exhaust! I decided to go with some Borla S-Type mufflers. I ended up mounting them under the cab cause that's really the only place I had room to mount the mufflers and be able to run the side exhaust! Might be a little hot on the floorboards but some heat insulation should take care of that

Then I ran the pipes out and over the frame between the two bed crossmembers! I'll finish off the rest when I mock the bed up and figure out where I want the tips to be! Still need to add some hangers to it as well.

Thanks, not quite sure yet on the tips, I know I don't have much room when aired out once I get the bed mocked up I'll get it figured out.

LOUD I had the Borla S-type system on my 13 GMC and it sounded amazing with just a stock 5.3! Once I realized I only had room for some really small mufflers it was a no brainer to go with them!

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Just have to do some finish welding and add some hangers to it.

Keith thanks for the links, I had no idea Summit had exhaust kits. Might have to look into them soon! Oh and your exhaust is looking good!

Re: Project "Redemption" 68 SWB Fleetside

Got some work done on the truck this weekend. I removed the intake off the motor and installed new knock sensors and a new wiring harness since mine was a little beat up. While I was working on the motor I installed my Holley fuel rails with new injectors.

After finishing that I went back to working on the frame. I got the ride height set at 5" and centered the rear end so I could tack my bag mounts on. I'll finish welding them up when I take the chassis back apart for powder coating!
